ASSET PROTECTION REPRESENTATIVE (Full-Time)

We are currently seeking a service-driven Asset Protection Representative to perform collection activities associated with delinquent member accounts. Duties include reviewing accounts, determining probable reasons for account status, and contacting members to resolve delinquencies. Utilizes various techniques to promptly collect on delinquent accounts. Ensures professional image is maintained. Contributes to overall goal success. Maintains accurate records in accordance with policies and procedures. May occasionally work nights and weekends.

The successful candidate must enjoy communicating with people and demonstrate relationship building skills. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus. Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and with confidence. A great internal service commitment and ability to work well within a team-focused environment is also required. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Candidate must have great attention to detail to perform a variety of tasks with efficiency. Capable of making quality, independent judgments to present solutions to members in financial hardship. Must process members’ financial transactions with accuracy and offer solutions to meet their financial needs. A positive and flexible attitude and enthusiasm for multi-tasking are also required.

Completion of high school education (or equivalent); previous collections experience with a full-service financial institution (credit union preferred); understanding of related laws and regulations and credit union products and services; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
