BSA OFFICER (Full-Time)

Join Henrico Federal Credit Union as our BSA Officer.

In this role, you will administer and coordinate the Credit Union’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML / CFT), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance programs. You will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating financial crime risk while ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization.

What You’ll Do –

  • Administer and oversee the Credit Union’s BSA / AML / CFT and OFAC compliance programs
  • Monitor transaction activity and investigate alerts, escalated fraud, and suspicious behavior
  • Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), Designation of Exempt Person (DOEP) forms, and other required regulatory reports in accordance with record retention requirements
  • Serve as the designated OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act Section 314(a) and 314(b) contact, completing required record searches and information sharing
  • Oversee Member Identification Program (MIP), customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and ongoing risk assessments
  • Coordinate independent testing, regulatory examinations, and internal audits
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and compliance reports
  • Provide training, guidance, and regulatory updates to staff and management
  • Monitor regulatory changes and recommend enhancements to policies, procedures, and internal controls

What We’re Looking For 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, criminal justice, or a related field preferred; Two-year degree required
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in BSA/AML compliance within a financial services environment (credit union experience preferred)
  • Prior SAR and CTR filing experience required
  • CBSAP or CAMS certification preferred (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe)
